More forge questions.............

What are the pro's and con's of using a forced are forge with a blower compared to one without a blower using a venturi burner? Thanks,

Forced air you need a power sorce. Venturi you can forge anywhere. I've alway felt like I use less gas with forced air but if you have a venturi that is tuned with the forge your using there pretty good on gas also. I always start out trying to keep a record on how much gas I'm using with either set up but never do. I would go with forced air if alot of welding is required but for general forging a venturi is fine.

What Ray said. A forced air unit will develop more BTUs.A venturi (atmospheric) forge will do a great job for forging.If you are only going to have one,and it will be used where power is available,get a blown forge.
