It has just been brought to my attention that the FSH is convex ground, and the HH is flat ground.
If the .25 FSH has a convex grind and the .27 HH has a flat grind then it may be possible that they can have the same weight and lateral strength, but different balancing points.
Also, will one grind be better than another for avoiding binding when splitting small logs into kindling? Or on hard wood vs. soft wood?
Can anybody comment on these isues?
I've ordered a HH with mag grips to replace a FSH that didn't feel that great to me, but now I'm wondering if I should have kept the FSH and just sent it back for mag grips...
