Last weekend, luckily, I was one of the first to stumble across a sales thread on the exchange that rredden had posted! In this thread for sale was a #74 Stallion in Ebony. It was a fine example and very reasonably priced so I payed Randy and began the waiting game. Now I will add a little background to this story. I had purchased one of these knives through the early reserve system of a Great Eastern Cutlery dealer when they were first produced. When I received the knife I was totally disappointed. I am a lover of Ebony and the darker the better. The example I received had spots that were almost white in several places. I immediately returned the knife to the dealer and chose to take a store credit rather than risk another disappointment. Since then I have never been at the right place or at the right time in order to get my #74 Ebony Stallion, until now. Now on to the Porch Goodness! :D When Randy sent me the confirmation of shipment and the tracking number he included a few words to say that he was including a few goodies. ;) I have been here for several years now and I have been blessed to be on both the Giving and the Receiving that is ever present here! I will quit rambling now and just show you all what a Few Goodies look like. When I opened the package I immediately knew the tube was considerably heavier than what a single knife would be. This is what I found inside. The #74 Stallion, a near mint Case Mini Copperhead from 2001, a used but well loved Buck 309 from I believe the Camillus produced years and a small Vic Swiss Army knife of which I am not sure of the name! Randy my friend I Thank You! :D

That is really cool Ron and Randy and another fine example of what we all know......Randy is nuts:D:D:D

No, of course, it's that the Porch is THE place.

Randy, that is awesome, Those Bucks made by Camillus are excellent Knives, and not to be regarded as "just a Knife"- quite a neat Knife with Great connections to the early Buck years and of course the Great Camillus, also that Case Copperhead- what a Sweetheart of a Knife! very classy Sunken Joints - wow! that wee Vicki is a excellent Key Ring Knife- and Boy we all know how handy they are!.

Glad you found your Stallion Ron my friend, you are one of THE good guys here, and I am glad that you have a Fine Ebony example now- looks good matey!

Well done guys, Great Reading!

That is some nice ebony, seems to be hard to come by these days, and that Case looks really nice!

That's so typical of Randy. But the same trait also runs through you Ron. A couple of the porch's finest.
Randy has been so kind to me, I had to ask him to stop sending me knives.:D:cool:
Ron, you have also done so much for me. Just having the two of you as friends brings me as much joy I can handle.

Awesome deal! I have the same sentiment towards ebony.
The little Vic is their "Classic". Your pic has me interested in a 74 now...

Ron, congrats on getting the kind of ebony 74 you hoped for, and on getting the triple bonus in your transaction with Randy!!:thumbsup: Thanks for sharing the story here; it's always a pick-me-up for me to read about this kind of stuff! ;)

Plaudits to Randy for his over-the-top, gargantuan generosity!!!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: Those who've experienced Randy's gifts (and there are many of us) are not surprised by Ron's report!! :D
