Finally got my sheath. Well worth the wait (to be fair, he had some family health emergencies to attend to)! It is as perfect as i knew it would be. The weight of the entire rig loaded with both knives is negligable. The fit and finish are perfect. The retention is top notch. On my belt, the BK14 handle is at natural hand placement. The BK7 also comes out easily due to rotating the dangler a bit and pushing with my thumb. The firesteel loop is a big long for my steel, but I plan on getting a bigger one anyway. Still works though, since I have shock cord on the firesteel.
There are lots of kydex bend points to put this rig together, but it all looks like it was stamped from a machine. I am happy that I now have a perfect wilderness knife rig. The BK7 may not have the chopping power of the BK9, but we can't have everything in one package. A BK9 rig setup this same way would be good too.
So this is my 2nd and 3rd Godspeed sheaths, and all have been perfect. I considered taking the BK14 sheath off for separate carry, but after wearing it around a bit to test it there is no way I'd do that now. This thing is a work of art. Godspeed is to Kydex what Skystorm is to leather.
PICS!!
