So here is a set I made as a surprise for my dads old nickeled Colt Series 70. Not thinking, I made them for an ambi safety, which his doesn't have! Well, they look good on mine. Ill make another set out of this wood for his.

Man those are sweet. If you happen to accidentally make a set that fit the cz75 BD in ash ill just give you my credit card lol....but seriously...

If you want to make a set out of koa, I'd be very interested. :D

Yeah Wayne, thats all I need! I actually enjoy doing them. They dont take near as long as knives so I can get them finished up in a couple hours. Clich, I will try some cz grips as I have a 75 compact. They will be much harder with the recess on the back though. I might just try to do a set thats flat on back and see how they fit. Mrn8, I already have plans for the Koa! I need to let it dry out a little more but there will be some grips made out of it for sure. One thing I noticed was that my gun had thin grips when I got it. The bushings are shorter which I didnt realize until I picked up my dads colt yesterday. It changes the drilling depth needed so I ordered a standard set of bushings for my gun. One thing I never liked about the 1911 was the grip thickness, these are about as thick as you can go while still being able to engage the safety.

I can send you my stock grips for a model if you want chris, I have rubber on now so they are just sitting there

You have a CZ75 compact? You have impeccably good taste, Chris! My two favorites in my collection are my Springfield GI 1911 and CZ 75B Compact.

haHa! I know it! The cz has been worked over alot and ive had it for almost 10 years or more. Its the most accurate gun ive ever shot and has never had a hiccup
