I went up to Sequoia today and decided to to 3 pretty easy hikes. The first hike was to Tokopah Falls because I wanted to look up at the Watchtower from the bottom since I was there last week. The second hike, I decided to walk among the giant sequoias from the Sherman Tree to Moro Rock. Then last was a quick walk up the steps to the top of Moro Rock. It was a fun day and the views were great. The only bad thing was the huge number of people on the Tokopah Falls trail. I also didn't have a lot of energy today for some reason:(

wow great photos! It still amazes me how damn big those trees are! I've never seen a white bear before, are those rare?

I did a couple of days hiking in Yosemite last September and have wanted to go back everyday since, a fair hike from Australia though :(

Thanks for sharing

Beautiful postcards Ray. That area is on our short list of places to hike and camp.

I don't know how rare they are but I've never seen one in this color. There are lots of bears up there. I see at least one almost every time I go up but never this color. Someone told me that he's about 3 years old and is one of 3siblings. The other two were black and brown. I don't know how true it is though.

Ray, I like the pics of your hikes almost as much as I like your knives!

Well, that's not quite true. I do like the pics but not nearly as much as the knives.:D

Ray-

I love the water shot and this last one of the burned tree. I love the look of a dead or dried tree in the middle of a lush forest. It's a nice contrast.
