Have a nice little collection going now and looking for a high end flipper that will stand out above the others.
As for flippers I have an Alan David custom, xm 18 3.5", and on wait list on shamwari
Some of the flippers I've had in mind are

Pohan leu bluephin..talked to him a bit yesterday really nice guy said about 4months for any handle and blade length I wanted basically.

Brian tighe tighe breaker...don't know much about them but the fluted handle on this is freaking awesome(does he do that on other models?) and from what I've seen/heard some of the best flipper action

Greg lightfoot full contact fighter...really haven't seen much talk about this knife since I've been here but overall I've only seen ppl say good things about mr lightfoot lil worried bout how big it will be

Jake hoback a10..last I checked I think his wait time is over a yr so that pretty much kills that :(

So what are your thoughts on the knives above and would you suggest anyone else?
And to beat someone to it I already have plans for a laconico jasmine flipper

Mikkel Willumsen!
I have his Tuco and I just ordered his new Tik Tak Tanto with a left hand chisel grind.
Po is making me a Blufin Jr. Can't wait.
I'd wait for a Hoback man. Time flies!

If I was gonna get a frame lock flipper (not a xm-18) it would be a tighe.......I don't realy think it gets much more unique!

I think you know where I stand on this one ;)

However, all are solid choices. I think it's gonna come down to your preference of materials, blade shape, overall look, etc...

I'd also add Les Voorhies to the mix (Model 13, Model 9)...if you can find one.

Same!

He said it would make the handle length 4.5" which is perfect for my hands. The weight difference should be pretty big too, IIRC the full size 'phin is 7 ounces.

He's also making me a 6" OAL mini tanto, the guy's gonna make me go broke eventually...

This is too true I don't think I could go wrong with any of the above knives

I actually hope to go to blade show this yr (would be first time) and maybe I'll get to see some of these knives there get to handle them and such eith way it will be a good experience

Lycosa idk why I forgot about the tuco but I've been eying it as well
Po gave me a choice between 4 1/8, 3 3/4, 3 1/2, and 3 1/4 blade length so I think I'll get a bluephin with more than likely a 3.5" blade if that's what I decide

Thanks guys.
If Po comes out with a katana, I'll be sunk! And a 3.5" blade on a Leu folder is ideal. I handled Po's Lrg Bluie and it was just too big for me.
Nate- Yes, the Tuco is the perfect size for an EDC unless you like a big folder.
Have you checked out Jens Anso?

Yeah I forget the name but I had 1 of his colabs for spyderco seemed super funky was surprised how nice it actually was. Kinda looking for something else although he does good work I'm sure

And wow I emailed Brian just to see wait time and he emailed me back 7minutes later said he is making the tighe breaker with button lock delivered about 3months and sent me a pic of the new blade (not sure if I can post pics from my phone or I would)

Ok.
Wow! 3 months.
I forgot to mention that Mikkel is now assembling 15 of his auto version of a folder. I need to learn how to post pix!!
And!! Lucas Burnley. His folding kwkn is outstanding!!

Indeed.

I contacted him when I was on the hunt for my first custom. His prices are pretty reasonable and he does excellent work, unfortunately he's not taking orders due to a year+ backlog.

I've got the Tighe Stick, basically a Tighe Breaker with a Persian look. I can tell you Brian's work is first rate. The fluting on the handle is all done by hand.

I bought my knife second hand and the previous owner stripped a few of the torx screws including the pivot. I emailed Brian to ask about buying some. He answered my email a few days later, first he apologized for not answering sooner, then he asked for my address so he could shipped me out a few at no charge.

I would buy another of Brian's knives in a heartbeat.

I would suggest a Reese Weiland.

I put in my order for a Hoback A10 in July and it should be done in another month and a half or so, but I think it will be well worth it. I was gonna say the lead time is a lot less than a year, but when I finally think about it, it's still like eight months or so.

I've got my eye on a Yuna Qi 4 in S type, Not sure what his current wait time is though.
And eventually a Direware.

Try the XM-24. The XM-18 is great dont get me wrong but the XM-24 is an absolute tank.
