With the high demand for Busse knives I don't understand why Jerry doesn't hire more people and material to meet the demand.

How long before we see another Battle Mistress? I may be dead by then. :(

Please Jerry can't you ramp up production?

Hi,

No doubt Jerry will get to this soon enough, but he left a post on this a little while ago. From what I recall, they're running 24-7 and have increased floorspace and machinery significantly too.

Believe me, you can't just add dollars, hire people off the street, and stir to increase that sort of production. Pure speculation on my part, but Jerry is also filling a lot of military contracts. If peace broke out all over and that demand decreased, I don't know if I'd want all that extra capacity sitting around.

Cheers,
Dave

Actually I'm happy with the way he does things! I think that's part of the attraction the thrill of the chase! Besides there's a lot of mass produced cutlery out there but do you really want that?

You Hogs aren't factoring in the Johnny time. That's the nectar that makes INFI so sweet:)

there is plenty of INFI available. All you have to do is look for it, or post in WTB.
Of Four Busse Knives I own, only the BM coming from the extravaganzaaaaa is coming directly from Busse. I don't find anything wrong with the current system.

The best answer to your question is: Look at Randall knives.
Too many businesses have expended themselves out of a job. If you have a good product, and you're making money, why decrease the demand.
The ONE place Jerry could definetely use a little help is in the customs department. Maybe he call RJ Martin or Mr. Thorot to help get some of those requested customs out of the shop. Or maybe someone else. Just a thought.

Well... I have a few Busse knives.... its always been a wait.... and its always been worth it....:D

My vote would be to keep it just like it is.....

The secondary market is the place to watch for instant gratification... IMHO....:)

personally,, I dont think my poor debit card/bank account could handle it if Jerry increased production and offered more new models beyond what we are now seeing...

some of us poor Hog's only have so much blood we can sell every month to help finance our addiction like it is

I have everything I need and want, the rest is icing on the cake:thumbup:

+1

I would be in so much trouble.

Marketing has a lot to do with creating desire, and Jerry's system does that quite well. So well it may be affecting SR policy which is causing some to voice concern in that area. To which I say, you can't please them all, so please the ones that matter the most (my opinion, not meant to speak for anyone else). And that is those commissioned to stand in harm's way, followed by the loyal, followed by the masses. Since I'm in that cusp between "loyal" and "masses", I can't complain when I miss a sale because I had "more important" things to do.

I hear you bro, just trying to put into perspective.

I've never been issued any infi, or sr101 for that matter. And I've spent a lot of my own money on them, sometimes after considerable searching and waiting (and sometimes with the ever present bit o' luck) The only other time I've ever been sitting at home when an offer went out, other than this last Extravaganzaaa, I picked up a DE set, the NO and BM of which have almost 3 combined years in combat zones.

I've just found it helpful to know that it isn't a plot to increase popularity by decreasing supply.
I've usually "gotten mine", just not in my preferred time frame, similar to many other aspects of life.
But---
If you're going somewhere and need something in a hurry just state so here or in the WTB forum and you'll get set up in a hurry. There are a lot of guys who buy for investment or collections, but are patriotic enough to forgo some of the profit they were expecting, just to put some infi where it truly belongs. That happened to me once too, and I still have a very significant ZT-NO-fighter to show for it.

Keep your eyes peeled and try not to get discouraged. Especially when some HOG snags something for his collection that you need for duty. It's a bummer, but "No Regrets" applies and you suck it up and drive on...
