FOund a great collection of pictures regarding this knife. Includes pisc of the Babe, the knkife in the lower right corner and a great 1930's letter he wrote about the knife.

The Babe (George Herman Ruth) was making $80,000 when the president was only making $75,000.
Babe said he had a better year.

Wonder what the "other" George in that display would've said to that??? :eek: :)

My research shows that the endorsement contract for the figural knife was signed in 1930, at the time Albert Baer would have been about 24. Quite a coup for a young man. But likewise, I don't have a copy of the contract to document the date. I suppose there could be a trademark registration though on the name use by Kastor, or a design patent for the figural knife.
