More Katrina animal victims need help

Thanks Brian...

Now...please clarify something for me:

Is that white wolf of yours a Katrina-area dog? Or one you got in Chicago to free up space for Katrina dogs? Or what?

How's the hound, by the way?

Louie was a rescue from somewhere in the Katrina area. He was so emaciated when we got him that the vet said he had never seen a dog so undernourished. God knows how he survived. We got Louie from PAWS Chicago. We have no idea where he was rescued from. They sent several convoys to some shelters in Alabama last year, where they were collecting abandoned Katrina victim pets. Needless to say, they were overwhelmed, overworked, and in no state to keep records of who came from where. I heard about their adoption event on the local TV news, and we had to fill out an application, come in for an interview (with Miss Blossom the hound) before we could foster him. After a while, we were able to adopt him. They are very careful about this process. We got several calls regarding how we were doing with him. This is a good outfit.
Now, they are going back to help with the un-neutered stray animals before there is a feral dog and cat epidemic. Help out if you can. http://pawschicago.org/Katrina.htm

Miss Blossom, the Walker coon hound is fine. Unfortunately she's dumb as a stick, but very pretty and she knows it. If you want a playmate for Bert, let me know. Unfortunately, she doesn't like other dogs or people.:D If I were you, I'd say no thanks.;)

No, thanks. :D

Soon it will be time for me to scream "COME BACK HERE YOU IDIOT!!!" to Young Bert, the not-right dog.

I'll be busy.

Nice of you to offer, though.

wacherass.

I think Bert might like a pal. He seems like he might be lonely. Two dogs are often better than one. They often aggravate each other, instead of you. Well, my $0.02.;)
