Knife blades on multi-tools are pathetic. They're too narrow (spine to edge), almost always hollow ground (give me flat or convex, thanks) and worst of all, the ergonomics are just nasty.

I just cut up some old t-shirts for rags for use in my shop. For grins, I used my Leatherman Wave.
OUCH!!
It physically hurt because of the blades on the outside style of the Wave. Horrible in the hand.
I *could* have fetched my Blast, which would have been a bit better, due to the blades on the inside design. But still.
I then reached for the Opinel N9 I always have in my RFP and wowza, what a difference. Nothing like a proper knife with a proper blade and a proper handle.
I'll wager I'm not the only person who carries both a proper knife and a multi-tool. I would think there would be more a market for MTs with no blade. Save the weight or replace the slot with another tool and add functionality.
Am I alone on this?
