More Knives Need a Unique Pocket Clip like the Benchmade 755 MPR

I don't have much else to say besides whats in the title. This post isn't even being made to really generate discussion. I just wanted to express my confusion on why there aren't any (or many other) knives with unique pocket clips like the one on the Benchmade/Siebert Mini Pocket Rocket. I'm not a big fan of the knife design in general, but I am always trying to convince myself to buy the knife just because it has a really cool pocket clip (and its a unique, hard use knife).

I guess to promote some sort of discussion and justify making this thread, what other knives have pocket clips that you really like or find unique?

Usually knives that cost upwards of $450 have unique pocket clips, customs and midtechs.

The boker pipsqueak has a very unique clip, it is the shape of the knife in the open position. it looks cool but not the most practical as its a bit pointy.

The ti pocket clip on the 755 is really cool. Functionally speaking it is terrible. Which is why they are now shipping with a very functional steel clip. The new steel one looks like poo though. I guess bench made couldn't get it to look cool and function at the same time:confused:

I'd rather have a plain jane clip that does the job well vs a fancy one that doesn't. The one on the 755 looks awful to deal with and I've had a few folders with over-thought pocket clips that were less than impressive during actual use.

That's too bad that the original clip sucks. I can imagine how it would be hard to adjust. I just bought a knife that has a normal clip, and thank god!!...because it was so tight that I couldn't get it to clip on my pants. ...but after a little adjustment all was better

Unique can often mean unproven or gimmicky, in my opinion.
My favorite clip is Strider's pocket clip. Simple, no hard angles, and it is strong.

I love the idea behind the G&G Hawk grip-clip.

why there aren't any (or many other) knives with unique pocket clips...

I can tell that you don't own one. I have one...as a gift. It is uniquely the least favored of any folder that I've owned.
I do like the blade-length. I do like the M390 steel. But the knife is a short brick. It is heavy, fat and the clip has torn up a few pockets on various Levis that I wear. It sits in a box...because. I'm trying to be nice here.
I tried to spring out the tight clip a bit. I put black electrician's tape on the grip, under the clip, in an attempt to be able to use this folder. It just refuses to cooperate.
Obviously, imitation follows success. You don't see other knives with this type of clip? Now, sir, you know why.
I carried a model 690 Benchmade for several years...a good knife. The model 755 MPR is not one of them...IMO.

Totally agree. Really liked the BM 755 except for the pocket clip. Did not function well at all.

I really like the clips on my ZT 0600 and 0777.

My Kershaw Tyrade has a pretty unique looking clip, but it's not the best looking.
