Got my first Rat today along with its cousin...

The knives are great, but they dont fit snug in the sheath. There's alot of movement. I think if the hard insert was molded to the shape of the blade and the velcro strap repositioned to where the index finger goes on the handle, it would be much better.

Great pics, thanks for posting them.

The sheaths are made to be ambidextrous so that is why there is some movement. It allows you to wear the sheath on either side without needing to remold the sheath.

Do you know if it is possible to reshape the inner liner by applying heat (eg hair dryer, hot air gun) without adversely affecting the plastic, eg without making it brittle?

Or will attemping such a thing probably cause the material to weaken or otehr wise be adversely affected?

I presume that if you can reshape it, thent he minimal heat possibleto get the desired affect would be best?
