More misinformed fun-or fraud

The question is, did the "collector" really want to know what was on the tang of that "buck" or was he politely implying there may be mistaken identity?

I hope even a novice collector would realize immediately that is wasnt a Buck...I did afterall.
 
I doubt that the seller has a clue what the knife is or that 110's aren't made in China. The case appears to be a Buck case for a 110 and is probably stamped 110 on the backside. I'm betting that's why the seller says it's a Buck 110 knife.

I expect your right Plum, the only way it would be fraud is if someone told them and they didnt change the listing. I got more of a kick out of a so called collector even bothering with what was on the tang. Unless of course he just wanted to verify and inform of mistake. Who knows, cause we aint got all the info.

I told the seller in a message, that she had was a Buck sheath and a Chinese clone of the 110, not a real one. I doubt she will change the listing at this late date. I haven't gotten a reply to the message.
 
I guess I shoulda to. At least it may save someone from bad feedback and returning the knife. My wife bought me a 110 when I lost my 1st 500. She could have very easily got something wrong. As is turns out she did extremely well getting me the 100th aniv 110:thumbup:(considering she thought she was getting me another 500:))
 
yes i feel for the uninformed trying to get a nice knife
for the collector or user in their life..
many times i felt it was lack of knolage on the sellers part
but after so many mind your own buzz ...
i feel most want to be able to dis-claim any falseness on their part..
this one is greedy... have no fear he is playing on lack of knowledge..
