You win, my friend... you win. I've /never/ seen an older axe up for sale still with labels on -- those are fantastic!

Those are beauties!
Mortgage on your house and statute of limitations of paying alimony/child support must be entirely done with! Ordinary folks would be sipping drinks and sitting on a warm beach somewhere with their capital and here you are searching out museum-quality axes.

BTW- and I am not assuming that you have a ton of free time! But, if you did...the guy that runs yesteryeartools.com is always looking for new company names/pics/labels to add to the database, and I see some in your collection that I have not seen before. If you ever felt inclined, I am sure that he would love the addition to the knowledge base. I know that I have a ton of constraints on my time, so I am not assuming that you can do this easily, but I just wanted to put the idea out there. I love your collection. I find a ton of cool stuff, but nothing close to the condition of your finds. Well, there was one, but it was only 50 or so years old. :)

The gentleman from yesteryear tools, tom Lammond, passed away about 2 years ago now. The site is in stand still except for some minor alterations.

Tom has authored several books on various axe / tool mfg's. They are available on his site. I have a few of them. When these are gone...it will be the end of them. Get em while you can.

Tom

Very nice collection! I love the makers' marks.

Those axe heads are beautiful evidence of what we lost as a nation when we turned from making, doing and daring things to buying, watching and avoiding things.
