Hello Peter,
I was admiring your recent work - very nice! I recently finished this Stag Hunter in 22 layer Takefu Suminigashi. Yet, I'm intrigued by the high layer billet you used for Persian 1. May I ask how many layers is it and who is your supplier?

Be well Sir,

Hi Tim, very nice piece. Etch came out great.

The Takefu bar I use has fifteen layers either side of the VG10 core. I buy it at shows directly from the Australian rep for Takefu International. They have a page on FB if you need to contact them.

Pretty sure Bill Burke is/was the rep in the States, might be worth a call.

TK Steingass TK Steingass Blade Gallery carries it here in the US. They call it takefu vg10 31 layer San Mai. That matches Peter's 15 layers either side description.
