Here's more from the 10,000 file. Three distinctly different katars, four old khukuris and a couple of I guess what I will call khybers since I don't know what else to call them.

No notes on the back of this photo so what shall we say -- 200 years give or take a little?

I finally see now. Boy, all those old khuks have the raised handle ring really raised, but even more obviously the raised ring is much further back toward the buttcap than on modern ones.
