i'm glad you guys enjoy looking at the cookies. as mamba mentioned polishing of high quality is rare today but considering that's one if not the most expensive process on any metal surface i can see hi-polish would easily had 20% to piece price.

Dennis, I have seen a difference of 30% in price between a maker's same knife in 400 grit "user" finish and their 800 grit hand polished finish, and that was on a fixed blade. When you go to folders with multiple blades, the difference could be even higher.
