It seems simple enough, yes, but you're talking about disrupting a production process. Fortunately, the Bali-Song line is not as confined as some of their other models and they might be willing to do so for you for a minor extra fee.
But, the problem is that the process that gives the blade its shape leaves it nearly sharp. If you were, for example, trying a trick that involves bouncing the back of the blade off the back of your and, andyou got the wrong handle, then you'd be bouncing that nearly sharp edge off the back of your hand. With enough injury, it could cut you.
Also, such a blade would be way to sharp for combative training and play.

As much as it makes me wince, Bandit is right. Order 2 (or six, or whatever) 42's and grind one of them bad boys till they're like a pair of kiddie scissors. Be sure to hit the point too, so it's rounded.
We grind the edges of Jags when asked at no charge adn smooth them out. The file leaves rough edges. We can also remove the point.
