Hi all. I am sure everyone has seen these, but I had to bring them up again.
I am typically a fan of machetes, but I wanted to get one of these in the larger size. My previous was one of the Gerber Back-pax, and it would wear you out.
I just had the chance to pick up one of the Fiskars, so I did. After sharpening, I took it out. The thing that I never noticed before is how closely these axes resemble a scandi grind. The axe can be choked up on and makes fuzz sticks nicely.
So, enjoy your Fiskars, and try using it as a knife for makeing fuzz sticks.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
BTW, I still like the machetes.
