More phonies from the same seller?

you guys spend to much time on ebay LOLOLOLOL j/k

You're right about that. I seem to be making a career out of it.

I also forwarded this one to Joe and just got a reply. It seems they are doing something about it.

"Dave,
Thanks again. I am surprised that the auctions are not shut down yet. Should be very soon.

Take care,

Is this a fake too?
I think so.
Is it necessary to inform Joe?

Best,

No Herbert, that is actually a Buck. It came in a tin and was called a "Battling Bucks Collectable". It came out in 2003 and was made in Taiwan. It also had a Buck Knives lapel or hat pin with it that shows two bucks fighting.

I have one in my lap as I'm typing. If you do a search of the forum, you might find my original post asking about it.

Thanks, Dave for the info. It is unbelievabel that Buck had such an ugly looking knife in the katalog. I hope it was the first and also the last one Buck "bought" in Taiwan.

Best,
Haebbie

Youre right about the appearance Haebbie, it has often been joked that it is just a steak knife:D

They are pretty crude looking.:thumbdn: They aren't in the catalog for that year just like the Founders Editions in tins weren't. Some one said they thought that they were made for Walmart or Kmart as Christmas editions. I don't know for sure.

Love those "Floders!" The renowned Floder Folding Knife!!!

Invented by Kim Su Floder, famed sleazy Chinese knife seller.

:D

LOL, the guy finally listed a Buck that was made for Buck in China.

I asked about these some time ago and was told by Joe Houser that they were in fact a Buck product produced for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

Success! Both of the guys listings for the phony Buck's have been ended early.

I don't know what brought it about, Buck contacting Ebay or my harrassment, but what ever, they are gone.

Even if it looks like it a model that was made for Buck in China, don't buy it. It's still a fake, and the quality probably won't be near what you'd get from Buck. I can get those knives for a few dollars a piece! (I live in Hong Kong).
