Its done for now, one minor problem. The glass bead does not match the original finish that comes on the Sebenzas.I think that CRK must use some other compound, or very high air pressure.May be silicone carbide? It does'nt look bad just a little shinier than a standard finish knife.Check it out, tell me what you think.

Really looks good now

A check in Chris Reeve's FAQ at their site will tell you what they use for blasting.
Your finish looks great as iit is.
Now polish the clip from 400 down to 2000 grit and it will look fine IMOHO.
Good work

Hey Pontiaker, very nice pics. Maybe I could send you my small Sebbie to have the same thing done. I was wondering if you or anyone else knew if that is the newest style of Sebenza handle that is out now. It looks like a hybrid of the classic and the "old new" design. Please let me know!

Hey guys...this thing is now all MINE!
Matt delivered it about two weeks ago and I told him I'd give it a review.
How many ways can you say SUPER? This "pocket worn" finish is comfortable, no make that COMFORTABLE! All of the Sebenza fit, finish, smoothness, balance, solidness is there plus an ergnomicly pleasurable 'feel' that says "just right,!!!
I was concerned that he might have violated some of the lockup, some of the tightness, some of the precision et al. with the trip to the grinder, but not so! IMHO, this mod puts THE finishing touch on a great knife. Pontiaker, my hats off to you. Not only a good concept, but really great execution.

Thanks for the kind words guys! Except for you Craig! Just kidding, thanks for that 458!
I think the next one I am going to try sand in place of glass bead.I found an old invoice for one that was sent back and it said re-sandblast written by hand on it?

Some things never cease to amaze. Nice job. I just don't understand why. Oh well, I guess that's why they make Fords and Chevys.

Hold your large Sebenza firmly in your hand and take about ten deep whittle cuts on a limb of wood. Then you'll know why.I also did'nt care for the release cutout not being symmetrical, or the bumps/scallops on the handle.
See ya!
