So I bastardized my RC-3 to the point that I needed to get another one. I just got a new RC-3 in desert tan with ta modified pommel from Knives Ship Free. Those guys should be called Knives ship fast! It came in no time.

So a few things to note. I really like the Tan finish and along with the sharpshooter sheath, I think it makes a great combo. Which brings me to my next idea. I put the knife in the sheath overnight and now it has some greasy stuff from the leather. I had the same thing with the black 3 that came with it. It's not really a big deal I was just curious, you may see it in the pictures.

Next, how do these knives come so sharp? I guess I still need to practice my sharpening. Here's the knife pr0n.

The oily residue on the sheath will get better with age. It is from the waterproofing process.

It should just wash off your knife with soap and water.

Nice pics!

That sounds like a perfect rationalization for a PW man to use on his wife/SO. ;)

PW?

WOOOT!!!!! I just played around with the sander and I got a wicked sharp edge on the old RC-3! I'm so happy because I have been trying to learn how do it. I need some more practice on the tip, but 98% of the blade is razor sharp. I mean it's so sharp the weight of the blade cuts through paper!! It's like past popping hairs!
