More security at Greyhound coming soon

You'll notice "knives" had nothing to do with this tragedy. The horrid "scissors" did it. Soon, scissors will not only be removed from Greyhound buses, but from courthouses and all other government buildings. Can you imagine schools without scissors (my wife is a school teacher)?

My Paramedic partner at work had his brother-in-law down to help him and his wife move into their new house. When sending him back to Texas on Greyhound with 2 1 liter bottles of water (It was a 36 hr trip), the driver tried to keep him from carrying the water with him. When questioned why not, the reply was, "he could use it as a weapon" My jaw dropped as I'm sure all their's did regarding this statement. The driver was quickly told he was full of $hit, and he had no legal basis for keeping the water off the bus. He eventually said that people leave the empty bottles on the bus and it is something he had to clean up, and he didn't like it. The driver was again politely told that he would be letting him carry the water on the bus, and that was that. Is this not rediculous?

I'da wacked him with the first bottle, then poured the second on him!;) . Or maybe just drank both, then pissed on him.

What a bunch of crap! This stuff is really starting to piss me off. We had better be darned careful as a nation about how much we cut off civil liberties in the name of "Homeland Security". This terrorist hysteria is driving me nuts and these a$$hole crazies aren't helping.

First guns, then knives, now it's scissors and water...What's next on the "bad stuff list"...Oxygen???.:(.

As long as there are people in the world, there will be the craziness with some type of weapon..be it a knife or scissors..or baseball bat or even a hanger..we cannot make any and all items illegal to carry on us...as a medic of 25 years I have seen people hurt each other with alot of things and actually it is the rare not the orinary to see a knife used.

The British have already done it. If the police there suspect you are carrying an object to be used as a weapon, they can arrest you. I read about a case where a teenager was arrested for carrying a cycle chain. He was afraid of being attacked by a gang.

Guns and knives are just a first step. What liberals really want to ban is the very act of self-defense, and they will do everything they can think of to accomplish this.

I've said jokingly several times that if security to get on planes gets any worse, we'll be getting on nude. But with the way some people look naked, they'll put all our health in jeopardy! :footinmou

LOL yeah I think I may be the cause of a couple of comas...

Oxygen is an extremely caustic gas; it even eats away metal exposed to it! We need to ban it for the sake of our children! If it saves just one life it's worth it... :barf:

I bet casual fridays don't get any more casual than at SOG! :)

It's funny that the driver admitted to manipulating the public's fear of terrorism for personal purposes.

Hey, Ron, stop making cracks about my looks! I've even loist some weight in the last year, but is till look pretty bad "nekkid as a jaybird." Especially the part with the scar from last Spring's surgery!

BTW, pure oxygen really is poisonous. If they have you breathing it on a ventilator for more than a few days, it destroys your lungs and you can never get off of it.
