I wish I could post some good news for a change, but not right now.

I got word today that dad is taking a turn for the worse. He is still in the hospital undergoing plasma replacement treatments. He has been unresponsive for the last couple of days and has had some internal bleeding. They finally figured out the bleeding part, but he is really weak and sill unresponsive.

Please continue to send up smoke and prayers for my dad. He is a tough old coot... but he could use all the help in the world right now.

Thanks!

Alan

Smoke hasn't stopped for my Bro Alan! And please keep us updated no matter the news.
And Dayum Walosi was doing so well.:(

Smoke going up-- Shanthimalai Nag Champa. It's a "superbly pure incense" and is "made in India to uncompromising quality standards" so hopefully it will do the trick ;)

An update...

I just learned that dad's white blood cell count was ove 28,000 which is bad. They think he has a kidney infection and have stopped the plasma replacement treatment in order to treat it and his internal bleeding. They have to thin the blood for the plasma treatments.

His chances of recovery are getting really slim. I know he is stubborn, but that'll only go so far. I haven't given up hope yet, but I am preparing for the worse too. :(

Alan you have our every good wish and prayer. Walosi is family here, too.

Be gentle with yourself during this thing.

Alan,
Your dad and I always called each other "linthead" since we both worked in textiles. I think of him often and include him in my prayers.

He is a good guy. Prayers from Atlanta GA.

How is his little dog? I remember when he was selling a few khuks and he said that the dog thought the tape dispenser was an enemy everytime Walosi yanked a piece of tape.

Thanks everyone. Dad is still hanging in there, but barely. His chances aren't real good... this week will be telling. Maybe we'll know more by mid-week.

Bill, his dog (Baer) will probably be adopted by the son of the nurse whose been watching my mom (when Brian is gone to see dad). I was going to bring him out here to Wyoming, but everyone seems to think it is a better idea for him to stay in Kentucky. He is a great little dog.
