Good!

I'm going on the premise that steel will in someway be my livelihood at some point in my life, whether I want it to be or not so I try to buy some whenever I'm not buying some other knifemaking supply.

Option A: invest in the stock market and watch in horror as your money disappears.

Option B: Invest in tangibles that you can use to make things of value and guarantee your future.

69_Knives,
Given some intelligent investment in the stock market, don't underestimate the value of said investment.

If you are more comfortable investing in steel to make knives, go for it...you are betting on your knowledge and marketability of your products....and the differentiaton of your Canidian money vs the US dollar, or other currency.... Good Luck...I don't know the right answer.

he who plays with money fears not losing it. :)

There are two kinds of people that will tell you that your money is better off in their pocket - one is an investment banker or banker in general and the other is a thief.

When the stock markets and housing bubbles crash again, I will still have my steel to make things with.
