  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

More Traction for Scales

I've been accumulating folders for more than 20 years and now have a ton of them. Along the way I picked up several with smooth metal scales...steel, aluminum and titanium. I have large hands and they're too slippery to handle effectively and safely. I want to modify them and don't know the best approach. Simple sticky-back traction tape (if so, what brand)? I have access to a sand blaster if that's an answer. Or maybe file a crosshatch pattern? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

There is clear traction tape made for skateboards that could work. I think it looks better than than the black tape you see so often.
