top -- 13 inch 13 ounce Balance by Sher with all usual Sher features. Great work by a great kami. Two available at $50 each

bottom -- Bura M43 -- 17 inch 29 ounce M43 as only Bura can make them. Excellent effort by the best kami in Nepal. Two available at $95 each.

Well, one way I might feel better about not getting an M43 now ( due to being in debt) is to start a thread called< "Who doesn't have a Hanuman?" (what I'm in debt for)

This M43 looks good. The angle isn't too severe. I like that.

I am SOOOO glad the M43s didn't have wood handles. Wouldn't (sorry) have been able to resist them.
 
Hollow & Randall - Yes, this morning's was wood...it should fit me well! :D

Sorry. Our phone line is so slow sometimes I give up on pics loading. I'll have to go back and look at the morning pics again.

Nasty, let us know how it is. 13" seems like a nice size and the weight sounds decent.

The 12" AK is a better khuk.;) And we have two Balance models. The Balance is a nice novelty and a decent khuk in its own right but isn't the chopper the 12" AK is.
However the Balance is a nice light and swift little khuk fighter that conceals well in my size 46 jeans front pocket.:D
 
Theres something about the horn handles that just talks to me, could pass the wood handled one earier, but couldnt let a horn handled one go. I picked up one of the wood handled villager 12" AK's a couple days ago, its a little small for my hand, I'm thinking that the Balance will be perfect. I'll use it more for cutting than chopping anyhow, picked up a Chiruwa Ang Khola for the chopping.

Unfortunately, Dad's been out of work a couple weeks w/ back problems, so I gave it to him as a get-well present :cool:
 
Oddly enough, shortly after I placed the order for this new wood one, a friend was visiting. As I was showing him my new collection and he was telling me about his upcoming deployment, my horn Balance kissed him (very gently) as he was handling her.

Yup, she picked him...she'll be going along to watch his back.

Pleased the heck out of me...I had no idea why I ordered the wood one until then!
