I thought I would show some Xmas stuff and a repaired Bark River Gunny. I bought the Gunny used and found that one of the scales was a bit loose. I returned the knife to BR and they just replaced the knife at no cost to me.

I am a fan of folders for all cutting chores including camping and any wood craft work that I would ever need to do. The family got me a few for Xmas. I don't know how they knew which ones that I wanted.;)

The top one is the Buck Alpha Durado hunter. This is a solid little knife with a good secure lock. The next one is the Buck Vantage Pro in s30 v. This is a good size knife with the flip open feature. Last but not least is the new Kershaw Zing. I wanted the orange one but Santa did pretty well I guess.:)

Nice folders looks like any of them would work well for a wood walking folder. Does the alpha dorado have a pocket clip?

Nice knives:thumbup: I thought that Vantage would be bigger, but even at that size it seems like a heck of a good deal!

No pocket clip on the Alha. Reverasable clip on the Vantage pro.

Very nice collection jim! I just purchased a svord peasant knife for a bushcraft folder. anxiously awaiting its arrival.

I`ve got the exact same Alpha Dorado, and they are a really nice knife!

Great gifts ya got there, I like the look of the Buck Vantage Pro .

When you say reversible clip, do you mean left to right or tip up tip down? I'm a lefty and looking for a flipper that I can carry on the left.

It is tip up carry but the clip will go on either side. Any of these folders would be a good mate to the Gunny. However it's hard to not carry the Farmer for the saw.

Thanks, I may just have to get a Buck for the first time since I was a kid. My carry folder now is a Sog Trident(which I think is a great knife) which I bought mainly because of the carry options. I'd love a good flipper though.

I like folders for what they are. Not to be used as a fixed blade, but perfect for regular cutting tasks, and other every day chores. Nice

The Buck Vantage Pro is a very nice knife. I carried one on my canoe trip last August and used it more often than my fixed blade. Holds an edge, feels good in the hand, slim in the pocket.

It's my EDC along with my Manix.

Very nice, I like them! I'll have to check those Bucks out more carefully at the store...

And if you like a really thin knife, you can remove the 4 screws in the scales with no other work required.

The Vantage Pro seems to be in kinda short supply. My wife tried about ten places before she found one in stock.

I don't see many people considering Fallkniven or Al Mar folders, I kinda figured those would be pretty popular as they try to distinguish themselves as outdoors folders.
