More ZT 0551's in stock

I was just contacted that NG has more ZT 551's in stock if any of you are interested. Still waiting on the 0560 like a child before Christmas.

They are going fast. They got in 24 and are down to 9 only now.

The last one sold out at exactly 11:21 pm CDT, 11/18. (At least that is the timestamp on the confirmation email I received from NGK. ;))
 
I have a sneaking suspicion that the "limited-run" 0551 isn't quite so limited. The titanium framelock, Elmax, G10 combo has been a home run by any calculation so why stop? With so much positive sentiment behind Elmax right now, why not capitalize on a winning strategy rather than switch to a different material like S35VN? I wouldn't. The only people I can see getting ticked off might be the speculators.
 
I'm not oppose at all, to ZT milking this cow for all she's worth; just as long as the 560 series is on point.

Exactly. I don't see a big outcry from the crowd here about the 0550 not being available yet. In fact, I bet that I've got a 0550 in my pocket right now, albeit with Elmax and a brickpattern G10 scale.

The serial number is 1307, and I thought there were only supposed to be around 500 of these bad boys originally. or was that 700? or 1,000?

And so I'm not mistaken, this is a good thing. Kershaw and Spyderco are the best that I've seen at paying attention to and reacting to current consumer desires. I wouldn't even have my 0551 if ZT had stuck the their original plan. Thanks again to Thomas & Co!
