how many of you in the areas of the great elusive morel is ready for the season?..here in Michigan the snow is melting and we are looking at 40+ degree weather from here on out, Hopefully, its Michigan so who knows,but i cant wait to get out there..first morel of the season im guessing will be April 8.cheers and good trekking out there, stay safe :thumbup:
 
I love morels and hunting for them. Unfortunately I may miss this season due to surgery.

I dont expect to see any shrooms until April 15th. Im going to check out the Leeks next week. They should be up.
 
Last year was a bit slow for most people I know who hunt them. There have been a few good rains recently and the temps are warming up. We're lucky that we can combine hunting them with trout fishing or spring turkey hunting. I hope your surgery goes well Dipbait and that you get to at least pick a few.
