Just finished this knife - I call it a Morel Knife for gathering mushrooms. All comments welcome.

Why did you pick that thickness of steel and shape of blade, as opposed to one that curves inward and is thinner?
 
as an amateur mushroom foraging type person, I approve!
I've been trying to design a foraging knife myself for some time, and still haven't figured out which direction to take it
