morels

Not yet.
I always wait until we have a couple 50 degree nights so the soil temp comes up a little and here in Illinois we haven't seen one of those nights yet. At least this far north.
This weekend I'm gonna hit it!

I watch a websit ethat local hunters post on and they've been finding a few.
I'll take my 'shroom bag along turkey hunting this next coupla weeks.

We start looking about the time we see the first trillium in the woods

I've never heard that one.Normally we look when the oak leaves are the size of a swuirrels ear.

Don't reckon we got them down here.... course we got the more interesting type of shroom all over the cow pastures

no such luck yet, I been looking at the same web page bruce, but im starting to to think these people make this crap up, cause ive been out looking more than ive been in the shop lately, and got a big fat ZERO so far:(

Picked a nice batch of the early black ones. The others have been pretty sparse, Found a few , but nothing like last year. Picked 10 pounds. Might go looking if we get a few good days of rain.

went last night, didnt see much of anything though, a whole lot of leeks and some flowers...:(

Don't ever think your soil is TOO HARD!
The biggest one here is just under four inches tall.
Saw them from my living room window.
