Moreton Bay Bugs versus ZTBM

Moreton Bay Bugs for Christmas dinner. I don't know what you call them in the US. They're sort of like a small lobster. I found the perfect way to crack them open - bring on a ZTBM. I never thought opening a Moreton Bay Bug could be so easy. I bet Jerry didn't have this use in mind when he made the ZTBM and this one is a beauty - Jerry specially modified the grip to fit my size hand. I'm waiting for a Battle Rat to arrive and then I will give a comparison review of both. The Moreton Bay Bugs didn't stand a chance.

they sound pretty dang good. I bet they would be awesome with some garlic butter..

According to this site, Australia seems to have a wide selection of Sea cucumber looking things (look at the top list, it says Beche-De-Mer)
Do Australians eat those things? Are they any good? Just wondering. Thanks.

Idaho,
GO TO THE LINK I POSTED!!!!
Then, you might have click on the link

.
Oh, yeah, and knife pics would be cool too.

Yep, walking man found a photo of the Moreton Bay Bug. I love all seafood so I'm biased but these things taste beautiful, flavour is sort of like between a crab and a prawn. Hmmm! There are still some left over for breakfast - gotta go. :)

I believe Moreton Bay bugs are the Aussie equivalent of Louisiana crawfish, known to Cajins (and pretty much everyone else down south) as "mud bugs." In New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and the environs, you can get a big pot of them at local eateries. They're boiled with peppercorns and other spices and washed down with a local brew. The sweet flesh of mud bugs will make your eyeballs roll up into your head in paroxysms of ecstasy. I don't know that I'd want to crack open mud bug shells with a Busse, though. Mud bugs are as messy as Maine lobsters or spicy Maryland crabs to eat, your fingers get pretty slippery, and you might get bit.
