I got another silver coin question for yall. I have 3 peace dollars(1922,1923,1924 no mint) and 3 morgan dollars(1897 O, 1890 O, 1889 not mint) that I'm selling and someone has offer me $200 for them. Is this a good price?

I haven't collected coins for a few years but I'll share a little of what I remember.

Silver by itself is going for $35.44. So, $35.44x6=$212.64 I don't remember if each silver dollar is a full oz. of silver. I know they're 90% silver tho so you would have to do the math for the difference. But anyway, even so, the numismatic value is usually higher than the silver value(depending on condition). I would search on ebay or something and see what the coins are going for and judge the value based on that and the condition.

If I remember right the peace dollars are worth not much more than melt value unless its a 1921 or in mint condition. The New Orleans mint(O) Morgans are pretty valuable, not as much as the Carson City mint (CC) tho. The non-mint marked Morgan usually means it was minted in Philadelphia.

Melt value as of today's closing is $27.37 ( Silver value). It shouldn't be difficult to get more than that right now. Why is this here?

This was in General Knife Discussion because too many people think that's Bladeforums all purpose bulletin board. It is not, so I get to push a few buttons a few times a day to move these obviously misplaced threads.

I really appreciate those of you who do get it right! :D

That's not to bad of an offer especially with three of them being Peace dollars.

With melt value there's only around $164. Having sold them before, I would personally take the money and run. A great cond. morgan silver dollar might sell for lets say $35 on eBay. Take out the Fee's etc.. and your better off selling them all now for $200
