I didn't spend much time on the forums in 2017 but came back recently and of course it wasn't long before my wallet took a hit.
Browsing through some of my favorite dealers' inventory I happened upon a couple knives by Japanese maker, Morito Igarashi. I could find absolutely no information about the man but the peice exuded master craftsmanship. Let's be honest it's the stag that got me.
I would love to see your examples of this maker's work!
Anyways here she is, this picture is from the dealer but I'll post one in hand later.
Specs:

    • 2 3/4" blade of ATS 34, mirror polish, 6 1/4" overall length
    • Tapered tang

The usual simple, pretty lines from a Japanese maker, very effective indeed, nothing superfluous.

My congratulations on a fine new acquisition, could you give some specs please?

Thanks, Will

That looks perfect for a pocket fixed blade! Looks like it's finished absolutely wonderfully, the polished contrast of the stainless+brass, contrasted against the stag, is really attractive.

Thanks, yes, I was not anticipating how much I would love the loveless-style bolts. It is a great size and the dangler sheath is a perfect accompaniment. Another great detail that doesn't come through in the pictures is the nickel silver bolster. It has a very subtle contrast against the polished steel and is both double pinned and soldered, loveless-style.
I will also add that this is the second "sharpest" knife I've ever received after my Phil Wilson (not including kitchen knives).

Gorgeous knife, absolutely gorgeous.

The sheath wouldn't be my first choice, but I probably wouldn't actually mind that fat seam much in carrying the knife.

+1 on this.. and to add.

Fixed blades aren't really my thing, but I think a small fixed like this could get me on board.

That's a beauty.
