I love the Deer pictures....oh and the Busse.
Shotgun for Deer starts the 29th, cant wait.

Thanks for sharing

Great pics! Your looking thru the wrong kind of lens in a couple. :p

FWIW, that deer is in a state park with heavy traffic, and he's relatively tame. I've seen him before.
Shooting him would be sort of like shooting someone's pet dog. He's fun to watch though.

Guyon, I can't believe how close deer get to you guys when these shots are taken. I think it is a state deer law in Ohio that they have to obey & stay at least 100 yds. away from any human. . . :)
The outdoor shots yourself, Mist, Moose, Pit, Zeke, Cricket, & all the others who post on here allow the rest of us who maybe trapped in the suburbs of work & living (myself) to "get out" for a little breather from our hustle & bustle world. It is very much appreciated.
Thanks for letting all of us tag-a-long this morning, great shots.
Be safe.

Nice hike. That's the TN in the fall I know and love. Good work on the tree! Good restraint on the buck. Thanks for sharing.

nice.
I would love to get out every mornin'...must move closer to the nature...

I hope something like that runs around me next week when I'm hunting the vineyard! :)

Great pics "G"!!! Be glad to get out walking again myself just not up to it yet.

I guess the CABS is not a thrower :D

Nah... One morning about a year ago, on that same ridge, that buck followed me down the trail like a pet. It almost seemed like he wanted a handout of some trail mix or something. Up close, he is a magnificent creature. I hope he stays there safely as king of that ridge for a long while. He's so used to people there'd be no sport or fair chase in killing him.

I didn't post this pic before, but nearby was part of his "harem." With that big rack, I hope he is spreading his gene pool for future generations.

Speaking of spreading genes, the rut is definitely on. Down in a hollow, I walked up on a couple of deer in flagrante delicto. My presence must've spoiled the mood for the doe because she ran off, leaving the poor, one-antlered buck feeling more than a little frustrated. :p
