Sunday morning's gathering of mushrooms went well. A friend of mine and I went out to a NY state park on a beautiful morning and collected these within two hours. Good mushrooms soup and sauce coming... :-) What a great way to have spent a morning... walking through the calm and cool woods having a doe or two check out what you're doing - talk about getting away. ;-)

I wish we had places to pick mashroom here in CA. I remember as a kid my parents used to take up to pick mashrooms. It was an all day thing and so much fun. What kind of mashrooms are those???

Sufler, I remember walking in the woods with my Dad..he was always collecting something to put in a soup. little of this, couple of those, few sprigs of that..99% of what I know came from those early morning or late evening walks. Thanks for bringing back a great memory man..enjoy that soup!

Ahh, I went mushroom hunting a lot when I was younger with my dad. Now, I rarely go because I don't like them, and the mosquitoes are so bad we can't really get to where they are without being eaten alive.

nice haul there man.. that is a lot of mushrooms...
