Beginning with the Bird and Trout knife I've been making for about 10 years, I allowed myself to let the design wander into other channels. Numbers 3 - 6 serve double duty as both a small utility knife and a spear point. In that vein I call them Fer-de-Lance. The second one was supposed to be for me (don't own one of my knives), but momma wanted the money for presents. All of these are sold.

Thanks for looking.

Most hands fit all of them, except maybe the two at the top if you have large hands.

The wrap is a marame knot called the square knot. My wife did them in college to make friendship bracelets.

macrame, no wonder it looked familiar. ive done some myself. i made a bell curtain when i was in the navy

Hey, Jerry. Very cool.

By the way, I can't get on email to reply to you until the power gets back on here in Seattle (I'm using a public kiosk to see BladeForums).

Gabe, I hope you get things back in order out there soon. It must be tough being without power in the winter. Good luck, bud..

Hello Jerry,

I have seen your knives for sometime and admired there designs and workmanship. It is nice to see you here on BF posting, great to see your knives. Looking forward to seeing what you'll be posting all of next year.

Cheers

Absolutely agree with SpearZ.

I read all of Mr. Hossom's posts and threads with great interest.

I'd praise the knives shown in this thread...but y'all beat me to it!

The red one "turns my crank"...Looks like something to use in a surgical enviroment..

I like it.
