I purchased a 3 7/8" SS bladed drop point sheath knife marked "MORRIS." I find four makers with that last name: C.H. Morris; Tony Morris; Clayton Morris. The work is quite fine: tapered full tang; silver-soldered and pinned single brass guard; beautiful high hollow grind; mirror polish. I can't see how the fit and finish could be better. The name is neatly stamped on the ricasso. Pouch sheath with no markings.

Any thoughts on the maker?

CH Morris's logo is his initials inside a circle so he's out.

I found a picture of one marked "C.H. MORRIS." No circle. He's been at it for some time. Whoever made this one, he does good work. Thanks for the help.

One more factoid. The pouch sheath has a beveled top edge - like a funneled magazine well on a pistol. Never saw that before.

If you bought it off of eBay not too very long ago and it's the one I'm thinking of, it's not mine. When I made a lot of straight knives back in the early seventies to early-mid eighties, my "last name" logo was a little smaller type than that one (I started using the circular logo in the mid -eighties on my folders that weren't damascus bladed. I do them on the backstrap pretty much all the time now regardless.....) I also never used those type of brass pins nor did I make the sheath. If it's the same knife you bought (and I hope it is or all of this won't make any sense) the seller listed it as one of mine. I knew it wasn't so my son wrote him and told him to revise the auction and say it wasn't a C.H. Morris. I couldn't attest to the quality of it and didn't want somebody to buy it and be disappointed in it and think it was mine. :) I'm glad it worked out for you and you got a knife you like out of it. Take care.

Mr. Morris,

One can hope. It was eBay 226 286 1548 sold in August. Someone went to a lot of trouble. Hope to score one of your some day.
