A knife like this was posted for sale. I have a similar one looking for help getting info on it. I’ve been a member since 2017 have had a number of purchase transactions (never list anything for sale). I thought this was a friendly forum for like minded, similarly interested people to gather and share info. Instead of that I get chastised for my question in the wrong place. I’ve encountered this once before. I’ve also noticed this practice very selectively enforced (capricious & arbitrary??).

Could/would someone kindly help me and explain the treatment?

Hope this isn’t the wrong place also. I realize I’m not a “Paying Member” but I suggest my patronage facilitates and aids those selling their goods on this forum………….

A combination of things.

Some people are jerks, some are on a power trip, some are just stupid.

Try your best to post in the appropriate forum, use a title that accurately describes your thread, be polite, etc. Then if someone has a problem it’s their problem not yours.

Take it all with a grain of salt, sift through the garbage and hopefully get the info you need.

Thank you for responding. You’re the only one so far. You are absolutely correct. Not your problem but I’ve got medical issues that limit my physical activity. Not an excuse, just a brief explanation. I’ve collected knives for a long time (1st one at 4. Almost 68 now). I’ve become more focused on collecting in the last few years. Perhaps I took it wrong (wasn’t my finest hour). Frustrated and just wanted a little info. So sorry if I approached it wrong.
