Hello everyone...
I just returned from the New England School of Metalwork where I finished the ABS Intro to Bladesmithing class taught by Don Fogg and Burt Foster. The class was great, the school was great, and the teachers were excellent..

Now for something different...
I finished this knife a while ago and wanted to share.
It is 1095 and L6 mosaic damascus
Afzellia Lay handle

That's beautiful. The scales and the damascus pattern match perfectly.

very nice but I disagree with AXman as I think a more plain handle would be better with a very busy pattern on the blade.

the dropped ricasso/choil area is very cool. Neat knife!

Looks great. I like the contrasting patterns. Simple and elegant.

I recently had the pleasure of working with some scraps left over from cutting your handle scales. It's truly beautiful wood. I looks like the stabilization darkened it up a bit.

VERY nice for sure. The damascus is outstanding as is the afzelia wood.

I'd be proud of that!

Thanks for the comments and suggestion everyone. It is much appreciated. I like as much critique as possible so I can improve on design, function, and esthetics.. again thanks everyone

You're obviously well past an introductory level in your knifemaking - that's a very attractive piece.
