This is one I made a while back to take to the Arkansas show and then got iced in and couldn't go,this pattern was one of the hardest knives I've had to get a good photo, I guess the pattern is really messing with the cameras internal focusing. I had it posted on another forum and throught some in here might find it interesting.

Mosaic W pattern with all matching W pattern hardware, spacer is a piece of mosaic star damascus, and walrus ivory handle, top clip is sharpened. .

Thanks,

Bill

A very cool fighter, interesting damascus complimented well by the guard and walrus handle
I like the way the top swedge (actually edge as it's sharp) goes all way to the guard.
For the hard to focus blades, try manual focus, or focusing on another object at the same distance (for example put something flat on the blade, focus on it then take it away just before you take the pic).

This knife has a lot of stuff I like. The steel looks great. Walrus ivory is my favorite handle material. I love the long swedge.

This knife's a beauty.

Great looking Fighter. Nice blade profile.
Well executed pattern all around.
Appears to be outstanding walrus.
Glad you found us. I have admired your work on blade gallery for years.

This one for example. Is this beautiful or what?

If I'm out of line by posting this sent me an e-mail and threaten me. ;)

I like that fighter VERY much Bill. Nice touch on the spacer with the stars.

That set is just plain OUTSTANDING Kevin.

A pleasure to see them.

This is still one of my favorites of yours Bill!

Great lines and your execution is super clean and crisp!

You need to come to Washington and I'll show you a way to bring that pattern to the flats that will save you POUND AND POUNDS of little damascus accordian triangles! :)

I'll even buy you a beer buddy :D

I think you should threaten Kevin, just for good measure! ;) :p

He's right, that set is out-freaking-standing!!!

Glad you're posting in here my friend.... er....Uh... I mean... Richard! ;)

You are right Nick, someone needs to straighten me out. ;) :)

I for one would much rather threaten the owner of that set with death by money in order to acquire it!! That set made me quiver.

That set is awesome! there is no way I could afford it with damascus of course but perhaps I can afford it without the folder and no damascus blades. BTW Bill email sent. Thanks

Trevor

wow....nice knife bill and that set is just too cool....the bowie in there looks fantastic....ryan

Thank everyone for the comments on the fighter and the set, the case the set is in took almost as much time to make as the set did, the top of the lid was some of the prettiest maple I had ever seen.

flava, thanks thats good advice and I'll remember it during my next photo session, I think getting good pictures of these things is the hardest part of knifemaking.

Nick, I have a bowie that I did like your suggesting, but I still like to accordian cut some of these billets it gives them a look that can't be matched any other way. There's no waste in these accordian cuts, if you stack all those pieces together and reweld you'll get a pattern no way can be reproduced.
If I came to Washington can I play and get your shop all dirty while your off at your real job. ;) I'd like to come out that way sometime, could be dangerous though, a hillbilly in a big city like that.

Kevin if anyone threatens you or gives you a hard time about posting pictures of my work, just let me know, I'll sick Nick on them ;), you just keep up the good work. :D

Thank You,

Bill

Always enjoy seeing your work, Bill. That set is outstanding! Plus, great ivory fighter. Like the clip and overall design. Awesome damascus and ivory. As jaislandboy would say,:thumbup:

Hated to miss you at Little Rock. Thanks for the tickets. :)
