Mosaic pin help

Hi folks,

I'm nearing the place where I want to install some jigged bone scales on my knife and need some advice on whether or not I need to pien the mosaic (1/8") pins after running them through the holes in the tang. Should I also grind some little divots it the pins as well to add a little extra holding power?

You can't really pein mosaics. All that is really needed is a little bit of a roughed up surface, a quick hand sand with some 60 grit paper would be fine and then put em in and epoxy away.

I was wondering if it was not a good idea peining mosaic pins.

I beg to differ.
I have peined mosaic pins before (even recently), and get great results. It kinda opens up like a flower. Different look.
Experiment first with just a little piece and see what the results are.
