I just finished this piece up this afternoon. The sheath seemed to take forever.
oal-12 1/2"- 7 5/8" blade. the blade is made up of 1084 and 4800 powered metal, with a 15 layer bar of 15n20 & 1080 welded along the cutting edge. African blackwood handle, nickel/silver hardware and pins. The sheath is che chen. I didn't have enough blackwood to make the sheath also, but it came out looking pretty close. The frog I made from nickel/silver along with the throat and each star has 20 n/s pins = 160 pins and crossed eyes. :D
What do you think.

Thanks for lookin

Bill

Great idea the 15n20 and 1080 welded to the cutting edge. A beautiful and impressive knife. What wood is the sheath? They look nice together.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it. This piece is really much nicer then my sucky photography skills show. I'll probably send it off to a professional.

Thanks again,

Bill

thanks everyone.

Don, its one of the cans, the problem was the coating I was using. The other steels I was asking you about is for a folder, its sitting on the bench waiting for some gold screws from RB Johnson to arrive, hopefully it will get here and get finished by next week. It's looking pretty good, if I don't screw it up. Time will tell.

Ray, the 4800 powder is the star, everything else around it is 1084.

Thanks again,

Bill
