Anyone have a good source for materials to make mosiac pins? I found one or two sizes here and there from several different suppliers. By the time you pay for postage from a couple of places plus materials it's cheaper to buy the pins already made up. Looking for a single source with a good selection. Thanks.

Go to any Ace hardware,or most any hardware or hobby shop.Thats where I get my material.Dave:)

I hadn't thought about Ace hardware, but the two local hobby shops have both quit carrying the materials, because there was no demand for it. I'll check out Ace tomorrow. Thanks.

Try out these hobby shops specialised in scale models (trains, boats, houses,...). They tend to have a wide range of brass and steels pins, tubes, squares, 'I' shaped (railway track).

I make my mosaic pins with superglue: i put everything inside the tube, block the end with tape and slowly fill the entire tube with very fluid superglue. Works great for me. When you cut the pins about 1/5 inch shorter than the outer tube and align everything at the bottom, you get some kind of 'glue reservoir' at the top end of the mosaic pin. This makes filling easier.
