This one from a run of 20 is the David Mosier Take-Down. It is my very first Mosier and I have to admit that David does truly amazing work! This knife fits the hand very snug, the razor sharp blade flips open smoothly and the lock engages solidly with no galling. The hole in the blade grips the thumb well and can be opened easily thanks to the detent being set with just the right amount of blade friction for perfect action in either index-flipper or thumb-hole opening modes. The fit and finish is tops! The choice carbon fiber scales mate perfectly with the bolsters and the blade’s ricasso with the cut-outs in the bolster – smooth all across. I asked David if he could upgrade mine with satin bolsters, liners and clip – he obliged with no hesitation and the turnaround was within a week! It was a true pleasure communicating with David and I appreciate his willingness to accommodate a collector’s pickiness. I love the aggressiveness of his recurve ground blade and his very low profile but effective flipper!

The following two pics shows the perfect centering of the flipper within the bolsters when opened - it is dead even! If you run your finger over the ricasso of the blade sandwiched between the finger cut-outs on the bolsters - it is smooooth all across!
