Whats the most mass produced production folder? I would guess an opinel or something since the design is so old. I really have no idea though.

Swiss Army Knife, in all of its variations; apparently, several million are made a year.

thx - cpr

I'm gonna go ahead and say those cheapo, hardware store knives. They sell them in bins of fifty for like forty five dollars, and every hardware store has a bin of them. :D

Victorinox claims to make over 34,000 pcs a day.

"Over 34,000 of these pocket tools with the distinctive Swiss cross leave the factory in central Switzerland each day. Ninety per cent are for export to over 100 different countries and serve as ambassadors for Switzerland."

Most companies here don't see 10% of that. But Elsener has 1000 employees. ;)

If they made knives every day around the year (350 days), that makes 11 900 000 knives.

In the US, I'd say the Buck 110.

My guess for US sales leader is the Gerber AR 3.0. That knife seems to be sold in a lot more places than the Buck 110.

If I had to guess about American made knives, I would guess the Kabar 1917 USMC knife would probably be the all time volume leader.
