cold steel, worlds strongest sharpest knives. oh, but a busse could cut one in half. but the axis is strongest lock. oh wait, tri ad. the point is... knives work. all of the businesses are thriving for a reason. so im curious what punishment people have issued to their spydercos?

Lock fail... endura 4. almost a slip joint out of box. i stabbed some heavy plastic and it folded, but not far enough to cut me. my native did not however.

edge test. i used my stretch to cut over 350 feet of paperboard and it still shaved

corrosion attack. my dragonfly in vg 10 has been wet every day for 6 months and as long as i dry it off after work its fine. i pressure washed for a business 8 hrs a day and my clothes got damp under the wet gear.

overall fixed blade use of the manbug. i batoned it through a 2x6 to split it after prying a sniper hole through it. same with a license plate. i whittled the board to just shavings over an hour or so. no damage

Impressive...dont have a spyderco yet, been thinking of getting a Military...looking forward to seeing what they are capable of withstanding. .

In the early days or learning how to sharpen (which i'm still in ha) I experienced incredible amounts of frustration. I decided one day to try convexing an edge and my delica 4 seemed a worthy candidate. I spent many hours carefully convexing the profile of it to just how I wanted. The problem I've always experienced is not so much the reprofiling of an edge, I can take my time an do a nice job of that, It's getting it to the very sharp stage that I have trouble with.

Anyways....

I was at a point where I was getting a decent edge developing and then somehow I got sloppy. I'd lost the edge I'd just spend so much time putting on and I didn't have anymore time to play around. I'd been working on it for three hours and it was past my bedtime. I wanted to bring the knife to work the next day to show a guy what a convex edge looked like. In a moment of total frustration I stabbed the shit out of the side of my desk and pryed between the drawers of my desk. I actually wanted to see if I could break it. I know it could likely have broken if I exerted as much force as I possibly could but I was INCREDIBLY surprised at how much the knife could flex in any direction and then return back to its original shape. Of course there is a little bit of play in it now and I had to tighten the pivot, but it still locks up solid and passes any spine wack test.

Spyderco I am truly impressed by the quality of your knives.

PS The D4 and I made up and we're the best of friends now. She lives in my toolbox at work.

so i was out in the garage with a friend of mine testing out my resillience. i stabbed some heavy duty plastic containers and after some prying the tip bent a little. i went to bend it back with my leatherman and it stayed bent. after a couple attempts it just snapped off. im currently filing it to a new one. the lock held up and no edge damage.

My brother stabbed a fridge with a military, it punctured it and the tip was perfect.
