As we all know...not all knives are created equal... ;) So I was wondering what would be your vote for the most beautiful/coolest looking production folder? They don't necessarily have to be useful or well-built knives (though quality knives often look better :D ).

Some aesthetically pleasing knives in my eyes would be:

BM 940
Spyderco Lum Chinese
CRK Mnandi

What about the rest of you?

I like the William Henry monarch (T12) with raindrop damascus....

Agree with the Lum Chinese. I bought that knife solely because of the design/lines.

I don't know what they are called right off. I know they are Spydercos though. The cover of the newest AG Russel catalog has three of them on it in different handle materials and each one was just fabulous looking. With Wharncliff blades to boot. Wish I had that catalog to see it. Whatever they were they get my vote. Love the mother of pearl..

I would have to say the Spyderco/ Howard Viele

You know that when it's a Spyderco that it's a beautifully made knife also.
I carry this knife often.

My most beautiful production knife is a Benchmade 850. I carry it on formal occasions.

As runner-up I would nominate Kershaw's Rainbow Chive. Those clean curves really bring out the beauty of the titanium oxide finish.

I've always been fond of rainbows. :)

Another vote for the Lum Chinese; It's almost jewel-like.

I love the look of the first run of Kershaw Bumps too. I'd like to get one. Not interested in the newer ones - somehow the subtle change has made them look vulture-like to me. From beauty to beast pretty quick there.

Thanks BQuinlan. Thats them.

While embellishments like MoP and Damascas and filework do look great, I tend to prefer simple knives with clean lines.

One of the best looking knives I've seen is a blue jazz handled Protech Jeff Harkins D/A 2-tone. I really do need to get me one of them.

Those abalone inlays just do it for me. Phil's Spyderco Viele is also seriously pretty. I didn't know Syderco had made a knife that good looking. Anybody have details on the materials?

Newer versions of the Viele had a VG-10 blade. The black handle material is micarta.
